The Celebrity Cruises are specially marked with an iconic “X”. With its cool, contemporary design, we would like to illustrate our commitment to offer modern luxury and warm spaces. Warm spaces are important because we think that the design of the venues is as important as the cuisine; while the modern luxury and excellent service are crucial to provide an unmatchable experience for vacationers’ precious time.
In 2011, the Celebrity Silhouette was officially launched. As mentioned above, we always provide service that exceeds expectations; we are pleased to launch the Celebrity Reflection in 2012. Together with the rest of the fleet these ships will demonstrate why Celebrity is the epitome of modern luxury.
History of the Celebrity
The Celebrity has a long history to provide service of cruises in the world. In 1990, the Celebrity was first sailing, which immediately recognized as an industry leader. Since then, the Celebrity committed to provide spacious, stylish interiors; dining experiences elevated to an art form; personalized service, with a guest-to-staff ratio of nearly 2:1 and unexpected, trendsetting onboard activities. Those facilities and services are designed to provide unmatchable experience to their customers. With the introduction of Solstice Class of ships, the Celebrity even pushes the standards even higher, firmly making the status of the Celebrity as the market leader in the world.
In 1989, the Celebrity launched the cruises in the world. Our goal is to provide service with high quality, luxurious cruises but intelligent price. With the goal, we create a distinctive expression of superior quality, grand style, attentive service, spacious accommodations, and exceptional cuisine.
The Celebrity believes that the dining experience is the most important elements in the cruise. Therefore, we created create the finest gourmet cuisine at sea, preparing everything from scratch, using only the finest, freshest ingredients. However, our innovation never stops. In 1995, the Celebrity launched the Century Class fleet, which is equippedwith the AquaSpa® by Elemis. We are the first company that hasthe spa service on the sea.
Our improvement never ends. In 1997, with the merging with the Royal Caribbean International, we form the Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. The two extraordinary cruise brands combined to provide global cruisevacation company that operates Azamara Club Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, CDF Croisieres de France, Pullmantur and Royal Caribbean International. Now, we have 40 ships and one under construction.
Celebrity Millennium Class Debuts
In 2000, the Celebrity Millennium was launched, which was the first application of gas turbine engines in the industry. The gas turbine engines can successfully reduce exhaust emissions by up to 95 percent over traditional propulsion systems. Within two years, the Celebritydoubled the line’s capacity by addition of her sister ships, Celebrity Infinity, Celebrity Summit and Celebrity Constellation. Those ships help to provide unmatched dining experience in distinctive, intimate specialty restaurants.
In 2001, the Celebrity is pleased to introduce the Royal Celebrity Tours. With the strength from both the Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises brands, Royal Celebrity Toursoffer truly unique vacations that pair outstanding cruise experiences with incredible pre- or post-cruise land tour packages now known as “cruisetours.” Now, the Royal Celebrity Tourscan have many distinctions, such as Alaska, Asia, Australia/New Zealand, Canada, Dubai, Europe and South America.
Even More Luxury
Our goal is to exceed the customers’ expectations. We are not here to provide luxuriousexperience from traditional cruises. More than 100 brand enhancements and new “tastes of luxury” were unveiled across the fleet in 2003, including welcome champagne and mimosas, cold towels and fresh sorbet poolside, expanded options in dining, including Sushi Cafes and pasta/pizza bars, sunset yoga and Pilates classes, and more. At the same year, the Celebrity launched the “Concierge Class,” which has new amenities and priority services. With the introduction of “Acupuncture at Sea,” the Celebrity is the first company in the world that have such facilities.
Special Cruises to the Galapagos
In 2004, the Celebrity is pleased to launch the cruise to the Galapagos. The cruise is a tailor-made cruise to the travelers, which we provide premium experiences they have come to expect from Celebrity, in new and exotic settings, including cruises in the enchanting Galapagos Islands on a luxurious mega yacht, Celebrity Xpedition, and a series of premium excursion options on select itineraries.
Flagship Class: Celebrity Solstice Class
The Celebrity is pleased to introduce the Solstice Class, which provides excellent design on ships, accommodation, dinning, stage shows, etc. Those facilities help to provide onboard experiences for vacationers who appreciate the finer things. The Celebrity has several ships are in the Solstice Class, such as Celebrity Equinox in 2009, and Celebrity Eclipse in 2010. They have already hold2,850 guests (double occupancy) and have a tonnage of 122,000. We will not stop enjoy our achievement, and will keep our commitment. The Celebrity Silhouette will debut in 2011 and Celebrity Reflection in 2012. Celebrity Silhouette holds 2,886 guests (double occupancy) and has a tonnage of 122,400. Celebrity Reflection will hold 3,030 guests and have a tonnage of 126,000.
In addition to the facilities and dinning from the Solstice Class, the Solstice Class is also pleased to include the “Lawn Club”, which is the first company that has such facilities. The “Lawn Club” is to provide the real lawn at sea. You can enjoy activities such as croquet and lawn bowling, or simply relax under the sun and stars. At the lawn, we provide stage shows for you to enjoy. With The Corning Museum of Glass, we presented the first Hot Glass Show at sea; with POET Theatricals, we also createdslate of breathtaking new shows.
Customer feedback is important to us. Influenced by “Celebrity’s Leading Ladies,” five Boomer women with unique travel and hospitality insights, the Solstice Classalso offers larger, more intuitive staterooms. We would like you to enjoy the excellent sea view on the ship. Therefore, the new ships present fewer inside staterooms than other ships – 90% of the ships’ staterooms offer outside views and 85% of staterooms have verandas.
The Celebrity is the first company that provides spa service at sea, which is “AquaClass,” designed with spa enthusiasts in mind. Equipped with the Relaxation Room and Persian Garden, guests can enjoy unlimited access and enjoy the service. The “AquaClass” offers specifically and healthy dishes for the guests.
For energy conservation, the Celebrity’s Solstice Class ships employed the solar technology. With the solar panels, the solar energy captured can be used to provide shade within the Solarium and produce energy for other purpose. This is the first company that used the solar technology in the ships.
In addition to the”AquaClass”, the Celebrity Silhouette recommended a lot of new venues, such asThe Lawn Club Grill, which is the outdoor, interactive grill venue; The Porch, which is a chic Hampton’s-style design, offering casual breakfasts and lunches overlooking The Lawn Club and the sea. Apart from dinning, the Celebrity also suggests The Art Studio, where guests can participate in intimate, hands-on instruction from experts in drawing, painting and beading, as well as the art of food, with culinary-themed classes; The Alcoves, eight cabana-style settings for partial or all-day rentals on the perimeter of The Lawn Club, offering themed picnic baskets, an á la carte beverage menu and WiFi; and The Hideaway, with its avant-garde, cozy, tree house design, creating a quiet retreat for reading a good book or a high-tech escape for vacationers relaxing with iPads, which are available to rent.
Excellent Dining Experience
The Celebrity is good to offer excellent dining experience. With our featured chef James Beard, he offers wonderful dining experience and unique dining options. Therefore, guests can find restaurants, such as Qsine, the “uniquely unordinary” specialty restaurant first introduced on Celebrity Eclipse, and the Lawn Club Grill, the first outdoor, interactive barbecue grill experience at sea introduced on Celebrity Silhouette.
Our quality of food is in the highest standards. From the recipes and ingredients to the table presentation to the service, we would like to do the best for you. Our hope is that you’ll leave a Celebrity cruise having tried new tastes and gained a deeper appreciation for the way cuisine can influence your experiences.
Excluding the Celebrity Solstice in 2008, the Celebrity Cruises only had five specialty restaurants fleetwide. But by the end of 2012, there will be 45specialty restaurants, which shows our commitment to provide excellent dining to the guests.
Current Development from the Celebrity
Our steps never stop. The Celebrity redeveloped the Solstice Class with the addition of many elements. The elements from the Solstice Class, including design elements, dining experiences, facilities, have already been attractive to the guests in the world in early 2010. Now, the Celebrity has a plan to “Solsticize” its Millennium Class ships by incorporating iconic Solstice Class attributes through a significant revitalization. The Celebrity Constellationwas the first ship that has been “Solsticized”. Since then, four other ships have been enhanced to a Solstice Class sheen.

● The ‘cool’ Café al Bacio and Gelateria, replacing the former Cova Café
● An Enomatic wine bar, the state-of-the-art, Italian-designed wine serving system allowing guests to select and serve, at the touch of a button, wines of their choice by the glass
● More sumptuous suites, on a par with those in the most modern hotels in Europe, with all new furniture, flat-screen TVs, upholstery, bedding and carpeting
● Restyled staterooms, with entirely new carpeting, flat-screen TVs, upholstery and bedding
● New color schemes, carpeting and upholstery reflective of Solstice Class in every public venue, from the Celebrity Theater to Seaside Grill, from the main dining room to Michael’s Club
The Celebrity has invested $200million to “Solsticize” its Millennium Class ships. Celebrity Infinity will be Solsticized in late 2011, followed by Celebrity Summit in early 2012 and Celebrity Millennium in late 2012.
