MSC Cruises is a European company, which have more than 15,500 staff around the world and present in 45 countries. We are the market leader in the cruise to the Mediterranean, South Africa and Brazil. The MSC Cruises now has itineraries in a variety of destinations, such as Northern Europe, the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean, the French Antilles, South America, South and West Africa, and the Red Sea. We have 12 ships, which are already carried over 1.4 million guests in 2012 and this number is expected to reach over 1.5 million in 2013.


The MSC Cruises have invested 6 billion to become the state-of-the-art fleet in 2003. In May 2012, MSC Cruises have 12 ships with the addition of Fantasia flagship MSC Divina. Among the ships, the three Fantasia flagships are MSC Divina (2012), MSC Splendida (2009) and MSC Fantasia (2008). The flagships are the largest vessels, which weighing approximately 140,000 tons, measuring 333m in length and 38m in width. MSC Splendida and MSC Fantasia both accommodate 4,363 guests each, while MSC Divina accommodates 4,345 guests. In addition to the flagships, the MSC Cruises added the four vesselsin the MusicaClass, they are MSC Magnifica (2010), MSC Poesia (2008), MSC Orchestra (2007) and MSC Musica (2006). The Musica Class weighs 90,000 tons and carries 3,000 guests. For the Lirica Class, the MSC Cruises have MSC Sinfonia (2005), MSC Armonia (2004), MSC Opera (2004) and MSC Lirica(2003). The Lirica Class weighs 60,000 tons and carries 2,000 guests. The smallest one is MSC Melody, which is weighing 35,000 tons and carrying 1,000 guests. The momentum never stops. In 2013, the fleet will increase in size with the addition of final Fantasia flagship MSC Preziosa.



MSC Cruises believes that it is the social responsibilityto protect the marine ecosystem and safety of staffs and passengers. Therefore, we have a lot of commitments to fulfill the social responsibilities, which are highly recognized by public and earn numerous awards and certifications. We have already committed a lot in order to have Cleanship 2 Class notation for advanced air, water and waste treatment systems, as well as ISO 14001 certification for environmental management, ISO 22000 for food safety and OHSAS 18001 for occupational health and safety. Our commitments are recognized by the International certification body Bureau Veritas, therefore, they granted the MSC Cruises as ‘6 Golden Pearls’. In addition, MSC Splendida also comp lies the requirements from Bureau Veritas’ voluntary Energy Efficient Design scheme.

Food quality is important to our guests. Therefore, all aspects of the company’s cateringhave been officially recognized through ISO 9001 andISO 22000 certification.

In order to reduce the carbon emissions, MSC Cruises was one of the companies agreed to sign the Venice Blue Flag agreement to reduce emissions in the Venice Lagoon, and similar agreements with the Port Authorities of both Civitavecchia and Genoa, limiting sulphur emissions to levels below the legally required minimum.
